Pfizer
Pfizer has an extensive pure powder gift program that encompasses
all of our publicly known compounds. The program is a two-tier
system that includes the legal and scientific branches of our
company. As a responsibility to the share holders and the future of the
company the legal branch requires specific intellectual protection on
all compounds that are provided to third parties. This protection also
provides Pfizer with a non exclusive license to any invention found that
requires the Pfizer compound to function. The scientific branch is
responsible to review each request for it content, value, and to ensure
that the study is consistent with Pfizer's direction for the requested
compound. When both branches agree, the compound is provided,
free of charge to the third party to conduct the agreed upon study.
Pfizer also reserves the right to deny any request that we feel does not
advance our compound(s) or add value to human or animal health.
Finally after one year of receipt of the compound or completion of the
study, which ever occurs first, a manuscript or report of the
conclusions are required to bring closure to the study. To request a Pfizer compound please complete the attached
compound request form. This form will provide Pfizer with the
minimum information required to issue our required Compound
Transfer Agreement, (CTA). The CTA is the legal document that
details what you can and cannot do with the requested compound(s).
The CTA also stipulates Intellectual property rights for Pfizer if a new
invention is made that requires the Pfizer compound. Along with the
CTA a Statement of Investigation, (SOI) will be enclosed. When
completing The SOI it needs to be a specific and detailed description
of your proposed study. The completed SOI is the document used to
review and approve or deny your request. From initial contact to the
approved compound(s) arriving at your facility is normally 12 weeks.

external investigators is to contact our call center, The Lilly Answer

one of our call agents. The request will then be forwarded to the
